Men vs Pets

Ola Guys!!
I once received this image - A lady carrying her dog with her baby walking on road. I wasn’t surprised. Rather than blaming the lady who made the kid walk, I was brooding over the thought on what made the lady carry the dog. Did it get hurt? Did the girl insist on her mom to carry her buddy??? Will the dog run away if it was allowed to walk? Did they lose the dog chain? Plenty of questions. 

I have come across pets with a humane touch in their names - Cadbury, Sunil, Aju and even Kuppan. Surprisingly I’ve heard people being called Puppy, Browny, Jimmy, and so on…

Having pets at home has become a trend these days. Caring for animals and nurturing them along with the kids at home is welcome. But the actual reason said behind having pets is to escape solitude.

People abroad tend to live alone and away from relationships. And they get depressed due to their loneliness. To escape depression, they were advised to have pets at home and nurture them. People found this a good idea and thus started pouring all their love on pet animals. Pets were no more animals but their companions. But as some couldn’t feed their pets properly, started growing green plants and cherished it. But even the plants need proper maintenance. As some couldn’t do this now buy bigger sized pebbles or some colored stones, name it and esteem it. It’s said people collect ordinary stones from road sides and are sold at a higher price.

But many consider having pets solely is to play, eat and sleep with kids. Oftentimes than not, kids seem to be spending more time with their four-legged/feathery companions rather their family members.

Having pets is always wonderful but loving and respecting fellow humans is equally important. It’s always appreciable to maintain good relationships with fellow beings.

  3. Good point to raise here...I bet pets are one of the best ways of beating stress. On the other hand people must know to choose the priorities.
I hope you will also make a point on cruelty against animals which is a much larger picture than this. Thanks for sharing.

  8. I think pets in the home are valuable to teach children the need to respect life and to learn how to give love. In learning to care for and love a pet they learn about unrequited love, responsibility that goes with loving and sometimes the pain that comes with loss. Animals enrich our lives and love us quietly and always and teach us immeasurable lessons. I think you hit upon how valuable it is for us to have pets in our lives to teach us our softer more vulnerable side is always close at hand.
